World Sight Day—the most important advocacy and communications day in the eye health calendar—is on 10 October 2019. When was the last time you got an eye exam? Your family, friends and colleagues? This World Sight Day, let's pledge to take an eye exam—and encourage others to do the same!

We have the data and evidence. We know that globally, over 1 billion people are living with vision impairment that could have been prevented or has yet to be addressed. The leading causes of vision impairment globally are uncorrected refractive errors and cataracts—both treatable conditions.

The solution is simple: regular eye examinations. Eye exams are quick, painless, and can detect problems early before they become serious. Many eye conditions show no symptoms in their early stages, making regular check-ups essential for maintaining good vision health.

This World Sight Day, we're calling on everyone to take action. Schedule an eye exam for yourself and encourage your loved ones to do the same. Make vision health a priority in your family and workplace. Together, we can work towards a world where everyone has access to quality eye care.

At Bridge of Sight, we're committed to making eye care accessible and affordable for all. Contact us today to schedule your comprehensive eye examination and take the first step towards better vision health.
