Low Vision is not the same as blindness. People with low vision still have some useful vision except it may not be totally restored by conventional glasses, contact lenses, medical treatment, or surgery.

Furthermore, low vision interferes with daily activities such as reading, seeing distant objects, differentiating colours and driving.
